Holiness is a command for every Christian, and yet we're utterly incapable of becoming holy, as our God is holy, if we depend on ourselves. However, Jehovah Mekadesh remains as the one who alone can sanctify our lives. And since the days of God's people whom we read about in Exodus 20, we are reminded that is in fact the Lord who sanctifies!
