The Gospel of Mark, Pt. 27

In part 27 of our Mark series, we continue in Mark chapter 6 and come to a passage describing Jesus' sending out of the twelve to proclaim the gospel and call people to repentance, as well as casting out demons and healing the sick.

Through this passage, we consider the biblical bases for being an apostle of Jesus, and we examine the interesting story behind the death of John the Baptist. We also consider the two major realities of what real faith in Jesus looks like. For one, we are sent to represent Jesus in all areas of our lives. Likewise, we need to remember that truly following Jesus will cost us our lives.
