The Gospel of Mark, Pt. 25

In what is likely the most famous "Markan Sandwich" that we see in the gospel of Mark, we see Jesus' healing power as the Great Physician on display in two separate encounters. In the first, a man named Jairus who's daughter is deathly ill requests Jesus' help. But before he meets the girl and heals her, Jesus is met by a woman with an issue of blood who's equally as desperate to be healed by Jesus. In both instances, we see that an inactive faith is a meaningless faith, that God's healing is relationally based, and that disciples of Jesus are called to share in his suffering so we can share his grace and mercy with others.
