The Gospel of Mark, Pt. 28

In part 28 of our series in the Gospel of Mark, we come to what is quite possibly one of the most famous stories in all the gospels - the feeding of the 5,000 in Mark 6. Along with the resurrection story, this is the only other story included in all four gospels, implying the importance of this story and the lessons which we can glean from it.
Throughout this amazing story, which is all about Jesus as Jehovah Jireh, we see that Jesus is the Prophet who provides rest, grace and mercy, and salvation. Not only that, but we see through the lens of John's gospel account of this story that Jesus is the ultimate fulfillment of the OT prophesy of another Moses who is to come who will ultimately lead the people of God into the "promised land."
