I'm a Saint, Pt. 22

In the beginning of Ephesians 5, we see Paul continue the theme of imitating God as he had described in 4:24 and 4:32. We were born again into the likeness of God in holiness and righteousness, and we are to forgive others as Christ has forgiven us.

Now in Ephesians 5:1, we, who are saints and beloved children of God, are to imitate Him by walking in love. And our greatest example of love comes through the life and death of Jesus Christ himself. Through Jesus' self-motivated, selfless, and sacrificial love, not only did he satisfy the holy and just wrath of God, but he showed us the way to love others.
